There are some gorgeous beaches on the central coast if you have ever dreamed of getting married with the waves lapping on the shore. There are a few things to consider , though.
- If you want your Nanna to make it to your wedding, some of the beaches have harder access, so elderly people find it difficult and often need help getting down onto the sand.
- Alternatively, there are some lovely reserves and parks overlooking the ocean. Check Toowoon Bay, Terrigal Haven and Naomi Honey Reserve at Shelley Beach
- Another thing to consider is that if it is a popular spot on the weekend or holiday periods, parking can be a little difficult. So make sure you check the beach out and the parking facilities.
- Whilst some beaches always look pristine, it would be just your luck to have the wedding on a day that follows a tidal rush and there is seaweed everywhere… so delegate someone to go down to the beach in the morning and clear up any debris.
- You will also need to check with the council as to whether a permit is required. Please check this page for the council requirements in Wyong and Gosford Shires.
